Candidates — coaches, photographers, camp managers, hospitality staff — build verified, media-rich profiles. Camps showcase their property, season and operational needs. Both sides talk directly.

Why we do it
Structure, without losing the culture
The surf travel industry runs on trust, culture and fast seasonal turnover. Finding qualified staff or landing a season contract has meant chaotic Facebook groups, unverified WhatsApp threads and lost emails. We built Surf Camp International to raise the standard of ocean industry staffing, protect candidate data, save camp owners time, and connect one global network of ocean professionals.

Meet the founder
Fin Mclean
Fin founded Surf Camp International in 2025 after an adventure that let him travel the world through surfing — now he's handing over the tools and contacts.
I'm just an ordinary guy from Durban, South Africa who had a dream of travelling the world. Like most people, that dream felt complicated. Travel depends on money, visas, and time — and most of the time those obstacles make taking the first step feel impossible. I came to the conclusion that I couldn't just quit my job and travel for years. I simply didn't have the money. But the desire never went away.
