We're an independent directory and introduction platform for the surf and travel industry. Crew build a profile, camps post vacancies, and the two connect directly. We are not a recruitment or employment agency, and we never take a cut of your wage.

How do I build a profile?

Sign up as crew, then open your dashboard and go to Edit profile. Add a photo, your roles, certifications, experience, availability and preferred locations. Photos and short video clips make a huge difference.

What counts as a strong profile?

Real photos of you working or in the water, specific certifications with dates, honest experience, and clear availability. Camps skim dozens of profiles — specifics win.

Why does my profile need to be 90% complete?

Camps only see the application if there's enough on your profile to make a decision. The completeness meter in your dashboard shows exactly which sections are still thin.

How do I post a vacancy?

Sign up as a camp, then use Post a job vacancy from your dashboard. Fill in the role, location, dates, pay or perks, and add photos of the camp. You can also add up to 12 of your own screening questions.

Does my listing need approval?

New listings are reviewed by our team before they go live, usually within a working day. Edits to a live listing publish immediately.

Can I edit or close a listing?

Yes. From Manage jobs you can edit any field, mark a role as filled, or remove the listing entirely.

How do I see who applied?

Applications land against the listing in your dashboard, along with the candidate's profile and their answers to your screening questions.

How does applying work?

Open a listing and hit Apply. If the camp added screening questions you'll answer those first, then your profile and answers go straight to the camp.

Can I apply to more than one camp?

Yes, and you should. Track everything from My applications in your dashboard, where you can set each one to applied, followed up, interviewing, offer accepted, role filled or denied.

When should I follow up?

Follow up within 48 hours. Your applications list shows how long it's been and gives you the camp's contact details.

Can I save jobs for later?

Tap the heart on any listing and it lands in Saved jobs on your dashboard.

What does upgrading unlock?

For camps, upgrading unlocks full contact details in the crew directory and direct Hire me outreach. For crew it unlocks the community Discord, courses, virtual support and on platform job applications

How do I get into the Discord?

The Discord is for members. Camp membership is free — the invite unlocks once our team has reviewed your camp. Crew unlock it with seasonal or monthly access.

Will a camp sort my visa?

Sometimes. Bali and parts of Asia often sponsor, Europe generally expects you to have the right to work, and Australia usually runs on working holiday visas. Every listing states what's offered — ask before you fly.

Are these jobs paid?

Some are salaried, some are stipend-plus-board, some are volunteer placements where you get accommodation, food and surf time. Each listing says which, and you can filter for paid roles only.

When should I be applying?

Two to three months before the season starts. Use the Season & swell planner to see which coastlines are hiring in any given month.

Something looks wrong with a listing or profile. What do I do?

Use the flag icon on the listing or profile and tell us what's up. Flagged listings are frozen from public view while our team reviews them.

What happens after I report?

Our moderation team reviews the report, contacts the camp or crew member if needed, and either clears the flag or removes the content. Reports are confidential.

How do you vet camps?

Every new camp and listing is reviewed before publication, and we act on community reports. We can't visit every camp, so trust your gut, ask for a video call, and never pay a fee to be hired.

Who can see my profile?

Your public profile is visible on the site. Contact details and documents are only revealed to paid camp accounts, and only while your profile is set to visible.

Can I hide my profile?

Yes. The privacy panel on your dashboard lets you hide personal data or take your whole profile offline at any time, without deleting it.

Can I delete my account?

Yes — delete your profile from the privacy panel on your dashboard and your data is removed.

What did I agree to at signup?

Accepted Answer

You agreed to let us publish your profile or listing on the site and share it with the other side of the marketplace. You can withdraw that at any time from your dashboard.
